Is there life after death?
It’s a beautiful morning. The sun is shining bright, and I see many people already out in their track suits and running shoes, walking or jogging to take care of their health.
Many people are intentional about their physical well‑being. Are you one of those who carefully look after your body and health?
Many also plan for the future — their bank balance, savings, retirement, and long‑term security.
These are wise things to think about. Every person should have foresight to plan for a long, healthy, and stable life.
But let me ask you something deeper:
What about your soul?
Have you planned anything for your soul?
The Soul Matters Most
Do you know when our body dies, our soul does not die?
The Bible says:
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36)
How can someone lose his or her soul?
In a world where we can achieve anything — success, wealth, recognition — a person can still lose their soul. How terrible would that be!
The Bible says in Matthew 10:28:
“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
No human can destroy a soul. But the Holy and Just God — has the authority to judge the soul and decide its eternal destination. God can give eternal rest and peace, or He can allow the soul to face judgement.
So the question is: How does a soul find eternal peace?
The Bible says that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. God is perfectly holy, and we have lost our holiness through sin.
Can good works or good karma save us?
The Bible answers:
“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” (Isaiah 64:6)
Our best efforts cannot erase our sins. So is there no escape? Must we live as sinners and die as sinners?
No. There is hope. Great hope. God’s love gives us hope.
The Almighty Creator of the universe loves us so deeply that He does not want anyone to perish.
He desires that we have eternal life with Him.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”-(John 3:16)
Because of His great love, we have hope.
We find this hope by trusting in His Son — Jesus.
The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8–9:
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Guilty — Yet Set Free
Imagine a just and fair Judge.
You stand guilty of everything you’ve ever done — every sinful thought, word, and action.
The judge is about to give a fair and righteous judgment.
If we look honestly at our lives, we know that our sins — even the ones hidden deep within our hearts — are serious enough to deserve a death sentence.
But here is the good news:
Jesus stepped in and took our place.
The just and fair Judge, who is God the Father, delivered the punishment not on us, but on Jesus.
He carried all our sins and died on the cross in our place.
This is the promise of salvation Christians rejoice about, every single day.
Not because of our great works, but because of His great work on the cross we are saved.
Good News for Your Soul
Through Jesus, our souls are saved for eternity.
We will not perish, but we will live with our Creator forever in heaven.
Isn’t this a good news?
